The Orion Guest House  is situated in Middelburg, halfway between Pretoria and Lydenburg, on the Panorama Route. This is the gateway to the Kruger National Park, Swaziland and Mozambique.

“The Orion” –  is a guest house with a difference where you feel at home. Here you’ll find comfort, security and luxury all in one. You hosts Lourens an Jackoline will be at your service to attend to all your needs.

The Orion is situated next to Middelburg Mall, restaurants, take-away shops, garage, Cinema, Casino, Country Club/ Golf course and a fitness centre for the fitness fanatics. Within easy access of the N4 highway.

The Orion consist of 8 luxury en-suite rooms, 1 deluxe with private bathroom and 1 self catering unit. A spacious dining room facing a beautiful Koi-pond with running water, a Jacuzzi overflowing into a relaxing crystal clear swimming pool. Big game chess for the chess lovers and putting green for the golf fanatics.  A private lounge with DSTV facility and a built-in braai/fireplace for a social gathering. Secure parking with remote access to apartments.

DINING AT THE ORION GUEST HOUSE

Breakfast:

Our main breakfast consists of a 100% pure beef sausage, 2 x bacon rashers or fried chicken polony, 2 egg’s, toast, mushrooms, baked beans, and fried tomato. A variety of cereals with yoghurt or milk can be enjoyed as a starter. We also have a selection of fresh fruit. For early departures pre-arranged breakfast-packs and lunch packs can be prepared. 

Dinner:

Dinners are available and served in the dining room with relaxed atmosphere overlooking the Koi-pond and swimming pool. Salad and desert are included in our dinners. We also serve coffee / tea, fruit juices and fresh milk with our dinners.

Checking in time: 14:00 - 18:00 (please arrange for late arrivals.)
Checking out time: 10:00am.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation Policy: Cancelation of booking in less than 48 hours of arrival date a  100% fee  will be charged on total reservation made. A 50% cancelation fee will apply in less than 7 days. A 10% admin and banking fee will be charged if cancelled 7 days or more.

Party size must be adhered to at all times. Special arrangements can be made.

 

PLACES TO VISIT & THINGS TO DO:

• Middelburg offers an abundance of exiting activities as well as unique cultural experiences. The Botshabelo Historical Village and craft markets can be visited as well as the Ndebele Village home to the well known Ndebele people.
• Game drives can be enjoyed in the various game reserves in and around Middelburg and for the fit, hiking on the numerous splendid hiking trials can be arranged.
• Golfing enthusiasts can enjoy a relaxing round of golf at the undulating golf course at MCC or at Kranspoort golf course.
• Horse riding trials available minutes away from Middelburg.  
• Middelburg is situated just minutes away from Loskop Dam, Witbank Dam, Rondebosch Dam and Kruger Dam which is on The Orion guesthouse doorstep.  These dams allow for an abundance of exiting water sports such as sailing, fishing, waterskiing ect.
• Middelburg is also host to the well known Loskop Dam Marathon, Jazz Festival held in March every year and the Great Train race (fun run) between Emahlaleni(Witbank) and Middelburg.
